Flag of Midway

Midway, a city of 1,718 people in Woodford County, adopted this flag on December 5, 2022. It was designed by Tom McCoy and dedicated to the public domain, so anyone can use it without asking.

It has no seal and no lettering: a handful of flat colors and an eight-point star at its center, simple enough to draw from memory. That makes it a model for what a Kentucky city flag can be.

For the designer's own account of what each part means, see midwayflag.com.
